Perhaps the headline "Drones, deep learning, and saving Māui dolphins" wouldn't capture one's attention. But then there's this paragraph: "“There's a guy who has a "f*** me Doris" drone, with a Māori-Dutch name, who is using AI [artificial intelligence] and some hardware to save the Māui dolphin."  A (very!) interesting article about how artificial intelligence and teaching computers to interpret pictures could help save a New Zealand dolphin teetering on the brink of extinction.
